About Me

I am an integrative counsellor which means that I can draw on and use different elements of specific therapies.  My personal approach combines the use of psychodynamic, person centred, systemic and behavioural models of therapy.

Working this way appeals to me because I believe there is no single approach that can treat each client in all situations.  We are all unique and therefore counselling techniques must be tailored to individual needs and personal circumstances.

Training, qualifications and experience

In addition to a BACP Accredited Diploma in Integrative Counselling I also trained with Bromley Counselling and Bereavement Service and I have specialised training as a couples counsellor from RELATE.

As well as working in private practice at the Bromley Centre for Counselling I have gained valuable experience in the voluntary sector at a counselling and social work agency in South East London.  Issues I have worked with include depression, anxiety, bereavement and loss, childhood sexual and emotional abuse, issues of identity, low self esteem and relationship difficulties.

I offer an initial free telephone consultation for you to tell me why you are thinking about having counselling.  This also gives you an opportunity to see whether you feel an initial 'connection' with me.  This sense of connection is so important when choosing a therapist.

The next step would be for you to attend an initial appointment with me at the Bromley Centre for Counselling.

I offer weekly 50 minute sessions @ £45 per session for individuals and £60 for couples.
